USEFUL LINKS
The Newark Public Schools are rich with history and we're pleased to provide these links, as a courtesy to our website visitors, so they, too, can learn about our schools.
-
- Looking for yearbooks? We have begun to digitize yearbooks from 1950-1990 in conjunction with the Newark Public Library and the Newark Public Schools. For other books, the easiest way is to contact your school or alumni association. You can also try our archive, the Newark Public Library, or the New Jersey Historical Society, however, none of these archives have a complete yearbook collection for all schools.
-
- Looking for genealogical information? For general searches, try the Charles F. Cummings New Jersey Information Center at the Newark Public Library. Check their website for details. If you're looking for more specialized collections check the Newark Archives Project. For vital records you need to contact the New Jersey State Archives.
- Just want to read about or view photos of old schools? Try Old Newark and the Newark Public Library's digital archive of school photos from the '40s to '60s.
As always please contact us with your school history questions!
